Haruma: Insights

A few sketches on my first and possibly favorite character concept I’ve ever done, along with the history of his design process. He has appeared many times in my artwork and there’s a reason for that. It was my take on the edgy “anti hero” type design inspired from characters such as Venom, Deadpool, and Batman. I first envisioned him a few years ago and it has inspired me to become the artist I am today

After getting used to the art of Pen and Ink crosshatching. I revisited Haruma's concept once again after 6 months. Reworking his gauntlets and his chestplate.
